Special Education Advocacy
As a special education advocate, Chris Anne is honored to stand by families and help navigate the educational and legal system to obtain the support children need and are legally entitled to receive. It’s her mission to assist in securing the appropriate services for their children, in their public school, as specified by federal law via the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Through close collaboration, with parents and school staff, Chris Anne helps families by developing their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or 504 Plans that cater to their child's specific strengths and weaknesses, while making the somewhat intimidating process as stress-free, transparent, and productive as possible.

Feeding & Swallowing
Feeding and swallowing therapy services are specialized interventions aimed at addressing difficulties infants and children may have with eating, drinking, or swallowing.
Feeding and swallowing therapists, often speech-language pathologists (SLPs) with specialized training, assess individuals to determine the nature and severity of their swallowing or feeding difficulties. They then develop tailored therapy plans to address these issues, which may involve exercises to strengthen swallowing muscles, techniques to improve coordination, modifications to food textures or eating techniques, and counseling for individuals and their families.
These services are crucial for improving individuals' quality of life, ensuring they can safely and comfortably consume food and liquids, maintain adequate nutrition and hydration, and reduce the risk of complications such as aspiration pneumonia.
